Very beautiful beach, absolutely worth the visit. Personally I prefer the water at wildwood but I do prefer the fact that cape may beaches are much quieter! There is also a lot of history to the cape… Full review by Caitlin D

In Cape May I don’t think it’s even allowed! But I did pass by trailer camps in Rio Grande, NJ, which is not very far at all. Actually, I just happen to run into Rio Grande, didn’t even know was a town, just thought it was part of the Cape May-Wildwood surroundings. I would definitely check that out. Cape May, not very friendly to anything else outside the human element or conventional cars too! But Wilwood... get ready, you’ll be in for a treat! And if you take the ferry across to Lewes, Rehoboth & Dewey, you may never go back home!! Let me see if I can get you the name of the RV camp I passed while I was in Rio Grande.

If you stay with any of the beachfront hotels, they typically supply the chairs and umbrellas for free- certain hotels have free cabanas as well- the hotel staff will even cart the chairs and umbrellas over for you! Day rate from Steigers for a really sturdy umbrella is $13 for the entire day, $30 for three days or 65 for an entire week. Welll worth it instead of the hassle of setting your own up!
