Here are the latest updates on local and statewide races and ballot measures in the 2024 election. Oregon voters approved Measure 115, which amends the constitution to allow the Legislature to impeach statewide elected officials. Oregon is the only state without an impeachment doctrine.

Partial returns as of 5 p.m. Wednesday showed Wilson leading Portland Commissioner Carmen Rubio 62% to 38% — a margin of more than 42,000 votes — after 19 preliminary rounds of vote counting and candidate elimination under the city’s first election using ranked-choice voting.

The ballot measure would adopt ranked-choice voting for the nomination and election of president, members of Congress and statewide elected officials.

Sen. Elizabeth Steiner, D-Portland, had a five-point lead on Sen. Brian Boquist, R-Dallas, in polling on the Oregon treasurer's race. Economics professor Mary King of the the Working Families Party also is running.
